Adam Cooke Band
At the age of five, Adam Cooke’s parents enrolled him in piano lessons after he showed an interest in music. In his own words, “I spent more time falling off the piano bench than actually playing during my lessons.”
Luckily, he gained his equilibrium for both sitting and for playing. Fast-forward a couple of decades and Adam became the front man of his original band “And Then Some.” Sharing the stage with a host of who’s who on the Canadian music scene in the 1990s, And Then Some released two albums before they broke up to pursue individual interests.
For the next decade, Adam fronted “The Adam’s Family”, a high-energy trio that started out playing bars and pubs and expanded into weddings and private functions as their popularity grew. The trio quickly gained a reputation as highly talented musicians with a strong set list, a fantastic live show, and followers throughout the GTA.
Alongside of this busy schedule, Adam branched into solo playing, becoming extremely adept at utilizing his loop pedal for beatboxing, harmonies, and solos. Now playing over 250 shows a year, Adam has blossomed into the consummate professional. Equally as adept on all instruments, his repertoire has expanded to cover rock, classic rock, reggae, funk, soul and disco, with a set list of over 200 songs from past and present.
With his top-notch musicianship, broad musical capability and his ability to read the crowd and tailor the set to each individual event, Adam is an in-demand entertainer. Alongside of a host of talented, professional musicians at his call, Adam can entertain for any party or event, playing solo, in a duo, or in any combination up to a full band, multi-piece musical experience.
